How it works
Electric Radiator Fitting Service
Supply and installation, hard-wired and commissioned properly — not hung on a bracket and plugged into the nearest socket.

Fitted properly
Electric radiators should be hard-wired onto a fused spur rather than left on a plug and a trailing lead. That means a tidy installation, no cable across the skirting, and no risk of the heater being unplugged for the vacuum and never switched back on.
Set up before we leave
Most of the saving in a modern electric heating system comes from the controls, and most of that benefit is lost if nobody knows how to use them. We set up the schedules with you and make sure you can change them yourself.
Removal, disposal, installation — then training
The fitting service is the whole switchover, not just the hanging of radiators. We remove the old system — gas, storage heaters, oil or LPG — dispose of it under licence, install and commission the new radiators, and then show you how to run them before we leave. It is designed so that your side of the job stays small.
Certified people, certified work
Our engineers are trained for the work and carry the relevant qualifications and independent testing certification for it. Every installation is signed off with installation and minor works certificates, and the fitting itself — like the radiators — is covered by a 15-year warranty, with the certificates supplied together at handover.
Suitability
Where it suits — and where it doesn't
Switching from gas, oil or LPG
The service covers capping off and removing the old system as part of the changeover — one team, one job.
Replacing storage heaters
Old units are stripped, removed and disposed of — bricks included — before the new radiators go up.
New builds and extensions
A clean first installation, sized room by room from the plans or the survey.
Anywhere on the South Coast
The fitting service runs across the South Coast, planned around a free home survey.
The scope
What's included
- Hard-wired, not plugged in
- Correct fixings for the wall type
- Controls set up and explained
- Old units removed and taken away
How the job runs
-
Free home survey
We visit, measure each room and look at how you actually live in the house. Heat output is sized per room — a guess made over the phone is how people end up cold in the room they use most.
-
A written recommendation
You get a clear proposal setting out what we would install, why that specification, and what it costs. No pressure and no obligation to go ahead.
-
Removal and disposal
Removal and disposal of old storage heaters, convector heaters, boilers and cylinders is part of the job, and we make good afterwards.
-
Installation and handover
We install, test and then show you how to run it. Getting the controls right is most of the saving, so we do not leave until you know how to use them.
