Heating as well as cooling
A reversible air conditioning system is an air source heat pump working in both directions. In summer it cools; in winter it heats, and does so efficiently. For a room extension, a loft conversion or a south-facing office it often solves both problems with one installation.
Homes and commercial premises
We install in domestic properties and in commercial spaces where a comfortable, controllable environment matters to the people using it.
One unit, both directions
A reversible system is a heat pump that works both ways: in summer it moves heat out of the room, in winter it moves heat in — efficiently, because moving heat costs less energy than generating it. For a space that is hard to keep comfortable in either season, one installation covers both problems.
Suitability
Where it suits — and where it doesn't
Conservatories, lofts and extensions
Rooms that swing between too hot and too cold are the classic case — one system holds them steady all year.
South-facing rooms and offices
Where summer heat makes a space unusable, cooling is the missing half of the comfort question — and the same unit heats it in January.
Commercial premises
A comfortable, controllable environment where it matters to the people using the space — surveyed and commissioned like every other system we install.
The scope
What's included
- Domestic and commercial installation
- Reversible systems heat as well as cool
- Quiet modern indoor units
- Survey, installation and commissioning
How the job runs
-
Free home survey
We visit, measure each room and look at how you actually live in the house. Heat output is sized per room — a guess made over the phone is how people end up cold in the room they use most.
-
A written recommendation
You get a clear proposal setting out what we would install, why that specification, and what it costs. No pressure and no obligation to go ahead.
-
Removal and disposal
Removal and disposal of old storage heaters, convector heaters, boilers and cylinders is part of the job, and we make good afterwards.
-
Installation and handover
We install, test and then show you how to run it. Getting the controls right is most of the saving, so we do not leave until you know how to use them.
Covering Christchurch & the South
