When an electric boiler is the right answer
If your radiators and pipework are sound and you want to come off gas, oil or LPG without re-plumbing the house, an electric boiler is often the most straightforward route. It heats the same water and feeds the same radiators — only the heat source changes.
Sizing and the electrical supply
An electric boiler draws a substantial current, so the survey covers the incoming supply, the consumer unit and the cable run as well as the heat demand of the property. Where an upgrade is needed we identify it before you commit rather than discovering it mid-installation.
Where it is not the right answer
An electric boiler is not automatically the cheapest option to run. In a poorly insulated property with old radiators, individually controlled electric radiators or a heat pump may serve you better. We will say so at survey — the point of the visit is to work out what suits the building, not to fit whatever we happened to arrive with.

Sound wet systems
Where the radiators and pipework are in good order, an electric boiler swaps the heat source and keeps everything else — the least disruptive way off gas, oil or LPG.
Homes that cannot take a flue
With no combustion there is no flue to route, which suits flats and properties where flue siting was always awkward.

How the job runs

You get a clear proposal setting out what we would install, why that specification, and what it costs. No pressure and no obligation to go ahead.

Removal and disposal
Removal and disposal of old storage heaters, convector heaters, boilers and cylinders is part of the job, and we make good afterwards.

Installation and handover
We install, test and then show you how to run it. Getting the controls right is most of the saving, so we do not leave until you know how to use them.
